FULLERTON — November 3, 2026. Fullerton’s adopted 2026–27 solid waste rate increases the standard single-family and multifamily residential charge from $27.29 to $30.78 per month.

Why the change occurred

Fullerton says the increase includes an annual service cost adjustment and new Orange County landfill disposal charges under a ten-year Waste Infrastructure System Enterprise agreement. The county disposal rate rose to $67 per ton in July 2026.

Businesses face different rates

A three-cubic-yard commercial bin serviced once a week increased from $239.73 to $263.37, according to the city’s rate overview. Business costs vary by size and collection frequency.

Where to verify your bill

Republic Services manages Fullerton collection, and the city publishes a complete rate sheet. Recycling and organics rates do not receive the same landfill surcharge as refuse service, so compare the correct line item rather than the entire utility bill.
